Our Partners

We believe lasting change grows through relationships. Middle World Alliance works alongside Indigenous leaders, community organizations, educators, and donors to support projects that strengthen the cultural and ecological resilience of Nepal’s Humla Valley.

For more than a decade, our donors and community partners have supported projects that strengthen the cultural and ecological resilience of Nepal’s Humla Valley. Together, these efforts have included the construction of four dhami temples, a traditional Tibetan medical clinic, a stupa, prayer wheels, seed-saving initiatives, educational programs, and sustainable yak stewardship.

KEEPING AGRICULTURE VIABLE IN HUMLA

We seek partnerships with individuals and foundations committed to sustainable agriculture and food sovereignty. Ancient grains remain the foundation of life and cultural identity in Humla. Agriculture and Bön cultural traditions have been deeply intertwined for thousands of years. As genetically modified crops, chemical fertilizers, and pesticides are introduced, and as younger generations leave their mountain villages for the cities, food security and cultural continuity are increasingly at risk. Now more than ever, farmers and dhamis rely on one another, and on their relationship with the land, to help restore balance for future generations.
